                                                                  Evaluation

My magazine was inspired by the huge fashion magazine Vogue. To be able reach the the Vogue standards I  had to do a lot of research like, for example how does Vogue present their formality on a double spread? Meaning  I had to make the layout of the double spread really neat but artistique and also make sure that the margins are the same width and length.

What I think went well was my colour scheme for the magazine, because Vogue is a very prestige magazine so its colour schemes are simple, glamours ,mature in fact the colour scheme and how everything is laid out is deemed to be perfect because it is very mature but the magazine still has a range of audiences at different ages, even though the magazine is mature you can tell the magazine is for people you really take fashion seriously and for people who have a strong economic back ground and I understand this from a simple colour scheme, however  my personal style is very colourful, and if was ever to make a magazine based on my favourite colourful colours but had the same articles as Vogue I Guarantee  you that the type of audience Vogue will get will be totally different than mine, I would properly have an immature audience that has an ok economic background,  so it  was very hard sticking with a simple colour scheme for me at first  but I feel like I managed to stick with  simple colour scheme black and white and worked it.

What could have gone better for was my journalistic writing, what I could of or would written a better piece of if I took more time and  looked  for inspiration by actually reading one of vogues articles,  I  also feel that if I had done my research I would of had a clearer idea of how my writing should have been formatted and doing that my writing would have been more appealing to the targeted audience.

The app or programme I used was Indesign. To be able to import the images on to the sheet on indesign I had to click on file and click on import because I saved the image first all I had to do was import it, I then had to press down on "T" and shift and drag the corner of the image to enlarge it and make it look neat. As you can see from the bottom the columns look the same, that is because I used the rulers at the left side and the top to measure the length and width of the columns I mimicked this from Vogue, because they measure their columns too.

My master head in the magazine is quite daunting because not only did I want to draw the audience in but I wAnted the audience to think and ask themselves some question like, i.e am I a thief? Why is she saying I am a thief  when I never steal? I wanted the audience to feel like my examples because I know the a lot of people consider piracy not to be a criminal activity when it is,  my use of ellipsis was make the audience want to read more it was a sign that there was more information to come read on. When I chose the images that would go in my double spread I had to be wise because, in all the Vogue  magazines the photos/picture all look very artistic and abstract, it was very hard choosing a picture because it had to fit the purpose of the magazine I couldn't just put any picture on the magazine, that is one of the reason why Vogue magazine is seen as prestige because all of their photographs are either artist or abstract or both.

If I had a chance to redo the magazine I think that I would of read an  article in vogue magazine and that would have got me inspired and write a really good article another thing I really wished I had done was to be more daring with the colour scheme becaus even though my class mates said my double spread looked really professional but deep inside I felt like more could of been done I felt like the double page spread was missing something or was empty, if I dedicated half of my time on research I think I would not feel like this, so definitely next time I would do more research to be more inspired and daring.
